Why Me?

Hi, my name is Sarah and I am passionate about supporting people who are struggling with their relationships.
This can come up as feeling like you have no opinion, or if you
do ,that it doesn’t count. Are you worrying about upsetting others for fear of disapproval. I wonder how many times you catch yourself saying ‘sorry’ or ‘should’ a lot? Do you struggle with feelings like guilt or shame, feeling inferior , having thoughts like ‘what’s wrong with me’ or ‘I’m not good enough’?

This could be at home , when our children don’t get the grades that we had hoped for or when our partner is upset with us because we don’t agree with what their work colleague or relative has said. It may be at work when we keep making tiny mistakes and get into difficulties with our work load.

These patterns can leave us feeling fed up , confused , wandering ‘ Why can’t I do anything right’ or ‘ why do I keep attracting the wrong kind of person’? Leaving us with big life’s questions like, Who am I ? What’s my purpose? Do I matter?

When you work with me, you will find that there are more choices available to you, more than you ever imagined.Rather feeling that you ‘should’ ,’must’ or ‘ought’ to do something, you will be able to make decisions about what works for you, without feeling guilty. You’ll find that you are less hard on yourself and more gentle with yourself and others.

Imagine also the liberating feeling of being comfortable in your own skin , giving yourself permission to say ‘no’ and still feeling ok within yourself.
I can help you build a better and healthier relationship with
yourself , to tackle the shame and feelings of inferiority that you are experiencing , I CAN help you feel good enough , so that you can attract and build healthier relationships with others in your life, putting healthy choices in place that suit you and allowing yourself to share your opinions. I believe that I can help you come away from a world which may be black and white , to a world that is fulfilling, full of colour.

There is HOPE … there is a way … The way is working THROUGH our experiences.

What Sarah's clients say about her...

I had a crisis earlier this year and sought out a therapist who dealt specifically with family issues to help me navigate through my complex feelings of grief, having never considered therapy before. Sarah and I meet weekly and work through many "in the moment" problems, how I feel on that day, as well as exploring ways of behaving that come from childhood. Sarah's style is direct but empathetic, and I have found her prompts about patterns of behaviour hugely helpful.

“Sarah helped me through what was a very tumultuous time in my life. My situation was changing weekly and she showed flexibility and diversity in how she engaged with me. Thank you Sarah”

I was new to therapy when I contacted Sarah, and we've now been having weekly sessions for nine months. I've found her approach gentle and revelatory, and would recommend her for first-timers like myself. I'm really pleased with the progress I've made since starting sessions with Sarah. It has also been a real help that she's flexible with phone or Zoom sessions, and to changing the date or time of our sessions in advance.
